Music Technology
Come and be a part of this exciting two week intensive camp that jumps into the musical technology world. The first week you will create and manipulate your music using various technologies currently available, from video games to the digital recording studio. Our young musical entrepreneurs will also see what impact the digital music world has had on our environment and economy. In the second week you will compile your music into a format that can be marketed to parents and other campers. Then you will give a digital performance at the end of the week. Welcome to the next SPSU Idol and guess what?— it could just be you!

Robotics 2
We are going to take LEGO®MINDSTORMS® NXT to the ultimate level. This is a two week course that is focusing past what you could have learned in Robotics1 and going to take you into the wondrous world of building sensors, advanced programming and advanced designs. The course will focus on getting our campers to develop and program their robots to complete an eco-friendly task that is picked by the instructor. At the end of the camp there will be a competition to see which robot does it best. So come parents and see just which one of our ECO-Bots can recycle the competition.

Market It!
Campers, while using desktop publishing and web publishing, will advertise the landscape and building products created by SummerBlast 2009. They will create an article to send to Green Builder magazine. Using the skills they are learning, they will market to parents, to the Southern Polytechnic State University campus, and to the local community as well, an open house for this newly-developed area. The focus of the camps creating these products was Green Living and Building, so we want the “Market It” camp to emphasize being green as well. During this two week program, not only will campers learn about the marketing world, but they will also learn how to conserve and protect the environment at the same time. Parents will then have a chance to see the presentations campers create at the end of the week.

Computer Animation
Computer animation has come a long way, and now our campers will get to experience the many facets of this growing technology. Our young animators will begin their two week program by brainstorming on the topic for their animated segments. They will use information gathered by the SummerBlast 2009 about conservation, recycling, and overall being green, to create a public service announcement. During the first week they will begin learning the technology as well as brainstorm their topics and create story boards. Then the next week they will create their characters and continue through the full animation process to create their final product. At the end of the week campers will present their animated program and explain the process they used to create this masterpiece. So, parents, grab the popcorn and settle down to watch your young animator’s creation!
